History

edit

Qnity Electronics became an independent company following its spinoff from DuPont on November 1, 2025.[1] It was listed on the New York Stock Exchange on November 4, 2025, as a member of the S&P 500.

Qnity Electronics can trace its history to many early suppliers of the global electronics industry, including the Shipley Company, Rodel, Inc., Rohm and Haas, Dow Chemical, and DuPont.[2]

The company's technology focuses on chemicals and materials consumed in the production of semiconductors and electronic devices. This includes photoresists used in photolithography, pads, slurries and slurries used in chemical-mechanical planarization (CMP), materials used in advanced packaging, and films such as Kapton used in flexible circuits.

edit

The company operates around 40 facilities worldwide.[3] Its customers include many major semiconductor and device manufacturers such as Samsung, TSMC, Micron, and Intel.[4]
