Prime Focus Limited (PFL) is an Indian multinational media and entertainment company that provides visual effects (VFX) and animation services, post-production services, production and financing of content, AI technology solutions, and other technical and creative services to the film, broadcast, advertising, and themed entertainment industries globally.[1]
The company operates globally through subsidiaries including DNEG, Brahma AI and Prime Focus Studios.

History
editPrime Focus Limited (PFL) was founded in 1997 by Namit Malhotra in Mumbai, India.[3] The company began as a post-production services provider for television programming, advertising, and music videos, before expanding into feature films in the Indian market.[4]
In 2006, Prime Focus Limited completed an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Exchange of India.[2]
That same year, Prime Focus acquired UK-based post-production company VTR plc which was its first major overseas acquisition. The company then expanded into North America through acquisitions in the United States and Canada.[5]
In 2009, Prime Focus launched Prime Focus Technologies, introducing the CLEAR platform for cloud-based content management and workflows.[6][7]
