Prateek Singh (born 12 December 2002) is an Indian Kudo athlete. He is a multiple-time National Kudo Champion and has represented India in international competitions including the Eurasian Cup, the Kudo World Cup and the Kudo Asian Championship.^[1]^[2]

Early life and education

Prateek Singh was born on 12 December 2002 in Satna, Madhya Pradesh. He began training in Kudo at an early age under coach R. P. Singh.

He completed a Bachelor of Arts from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya (DAVV), Indore, and later obtained a Master of Arts from Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal.

Career

Singh competes in the Senior −240 PI division of Kudo. He has won multiple national titles in the sport.

In 2026, he won his tenth consecutive National Kudo Championship gold medal at the Kudo National Championship held in Pune.^[1]

International competitions

Singh has represented India at several international Kudo competitions, including:

Eurasian Cup 2024, Armenia.^[3]
Kudo World Cup 2025, Bulgaria.^[2]^[4]
Kudo Asian Championship 2025, Tokyo, Japan, where he reached the semifinals.^[5]

Government service

In 2024, Singh was appointed to the Income Tax Department through the Government of India's sports quota recruitment programme.^[6]^[7]
