Prafulla Chandra Ghosh ministry was the seventh Council of Ministers of West Bengal. It was headed by Prafulla Chandra Ghosh, who was sworn in as Chief Minister on 21 November 1967 following the fall of the Ajoy Mukherjee ministry. The ministry was supported by the Indian National Democratic Front, a coalition formed by dissident legislators opposed to the United Front government. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7]
The ministry remained in office for nearly 90 days amid severe political instability and factional disputes in the state. The government eventually lost its majority and resigned on 19 February 1968, following which President’s Rule was imposed in West Bengal.
