PopularMMOs is the online alias of Patrick Thomas "Pat" Julianette, an American YouTuber best known for his Minecraft gaming videos.[1] In the videos, he would often play the popular sandbox game Minecraft with his ex-wife Jennifer Lynn, who also had a gaming channel called GamingWithJen.[2] In 2019, they divorced because it would "make them both happier". They announced the divorce in a video, which went viral.

History

edit

Pat launched the channel on April 17, 2012, initially focusing on MMO games like RuneScape. He switched to Minecraft and achieved massive success through his videos showcasing mods made in Minecraft. His videos also featured challenges, and he would often play with his ex-wife Jen.

By the end of 2016, the channel had amassed over 10 million subscribers, and at its peak, the channel grew from 3 million subscribers to over 15 million subscribers.

In 2019, the channel posted a video stating that Pat and Jen were divorcing due to personal problems. The video went viral, and has over 15 million views as of February 2026.[3] They continued to collaborate for a short time, but the channel saw a decline in viewership and engagement.

As of 2026, Pat still continues to post on the channel, and now, TikTok. The videos detail personal struggles such as alcohol addiction and legal issues, announcing a new focus on personal, and lifestyle content.

PopularMMOs is widely recognized as one of the influential Minecraft-focused YouTube channels. The channel gained prominence for its mod showcases, gameplay challenges, and collaborative content, attracting millions of subscribers and helping to popularize Minecraft content on YouTube during the 2010s.
