History

edit

The company was established by Pelindo II in November 2012 under the name PT Pengembangan Pelabuhan Indonesia (PT Indonesian Port Developer) to develop infrastructure to support port operations. In 2013, the company began development of New Priok Container Terminal 1 (NPCT1), and a year later, it also began development of New Priok Container Terminal 2 (NPCT2). In 2015, the company successfully completed development of NPCT1 and began development of New Priok Container Terminal 3 (NPCT3).

In 2017, the company signed a cooperation agreement with Pelindo II for the development of the Kijing Terminal in West Kalimantan. In 2018, together with PP Properti, the company established PT Menara Maritim Indonesia to develop Pelindo Tower. In 2019, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Hutama Karya and PTPN VII for the development of a port and industrial area integrated with the Trans Sumatra Toll Road. In 2020, the company officially acquired 100% of PT Menara Maritim Indonesia's shares.

In 2021, the government officially merged Pelindo I, Pelindo III, and Pelindo IV into Pelindo II, changing its name to Pelindo. In 2022, the company was designated as the parent company of Pelindo's internal subholdings specializing in logistics and port development, leading to its current name.[3]

In early 2022, Pelindo officially transferred the majority of shares in PT Multi Terminal Indonesia, PT Prima Indonesia Logistik, PT Akses Pelabuhan Indonesia, PT Menara Maritim Indonesia, and PT Prima Pembangunan Kawasan to this company.[1] In 2023, this company merged PT Nusantara Terminal Services into PT Multi Terminal Indonesia.[4]
