Pavan Ketharaju (born 18 May 1974) is an Indian film director and screenwriter who works in Telugu cinema. He made his directorial debut with the political drama Satta (2004). He later directed the musical drama Sye Aata (2010) and the family drama LYF – Love Your Father (2024).[1]
Early life and education
editPavan Ketharaju was born on 18 May 1974 in Chandrupatla, Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, India. He studied Telugu literature, mathematics and computer science.
Career
editEarly work
editKetharaju began working in the Telugu film industry in the mid-1990s. Before directing feature films, he worked as an assistant writer and later in assistant and associate direction roles. He also worked on television production.
He has been credited as part of the co-direction team on several Telugu films, including Anando Brahma (2017), Brand Babu (2018), Falaknuma Das (2019), Rakshasudu (2019), Chaavu Kaburu Challaga (2020), Khiladi (2022), and Pushpa: The Rise (2021).
Directorial work

editKetharaju made his directorial debut with Satta (2004), a Telugu-language political drama. The film received reviews from Telugu film websites including Idlebrain.[2]
Sye Aata (2010)
editIn 2010, he directed Sye Aata, starring Charmme Kaur.
LYF – Love Your Father (2024)
editKetharaju directed LYF – Love Your Father, a Telugu-language family drama centred on a father–son relationship. The film’s production and release received coverage in film news outlets. Cinema Express reported in September 2024 that the makers had wrapped the shoot.[3] Cinema Express later covered the film’s teaser and described its premise as involving a middle-class father and son facing a race-betting mafia.[4]
In a Cinema Express interview, Ketharaju discussed aspects of the film’s development and casting.[1]
The film received reviews from outlets including Times Now and The New Indian Express.[5][6]
