Parul Shah (née Singh Yadav; born 1986) is an Indian academic and economist. She is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the Indus Institute of Management Studies at Ahmedabad. Shah is known for her work in economics, environmental economics, and research on women’s education.

Early life and education

Parul Shah was born in 1986 in Aligarh, India. She completed her Master of Arts (MA) in Economics and was a gold medalist. She later earned a PhD in Economics. Shah also holds a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and has pursued LLB. In addition, she has completed a diploma in Export Import and International Business, including supply chain management.[1]

Academic career

Shah began her academic career as a visiting lecturer at S.V. College, Aligarh, which is affiliated with Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar University, Agra.[2] She later served as an Assistant Professor at Vivekananda College of Law, Aligarh, and Harlal School of Law, Greater Noida. In 2019, she joined Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University as an Assistant Professor before moving to Indus University in 2023, where she currently teaches economics to undergraduate and postgraduate students.[3][4]
