Nine to Six (Korean: 나인 투 식스) is an upcoming South Korean workplace romantic comedy television series written by Choi Ji-oh, directed by Lee Hyeong-min, and starring Park Min-young and Yook Sung-jae. It is a South Korean remake of the 2021 Chinese television series The Rational Life, the series explores the lives of employees as they navigate the boundary between their professional duties and their personal lives after 6:00 PM. It is scheduled to premiere on SBS TV.
Synopsis
editThe series explores the daily routines of employees at an automotive company, centering on the boundary between standard corporate working hours (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and their personal lives. It depicts the challenges faced by office workers who lack influential social connections as they navigate corporate bureaucracy and internal politics. The narrative focuses on the contrast between the rigid expectations of the workplace and the private identities individuals maintain after their shifts conclude.

Production

editThe series was announced as a remake of the 2021 Hunan TV drama The Rational Life (Chinese: 理智派生活). The project is developed by Studio S and produced by Samhwa Networks. Director Lee Hyeong-min, whose previous works include Strong Girl Bong-soon and Miss Night and Day, was confirmed to lead the production, and the screenplay is written by Choi Ji-oh.[5]
Casting
editOn January 6, 2026, it was reported that Yook Sung-jae and Park Min-young were confirmed to lead the series.[6]

editThe series is scheduled to air on SBS TV in 2026.
