Nico Juber is an American musical theatre writer, composer, lyricist, and book writer based in Los Angeles. She wrote the book, music, and lyrics for the musical comedy Millennials Are Killing Musicals, which received its world premiere at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, California, in 2026.[1] Juber was named to the Broadway Women's Fund's 2023 Women to Watch on Broadway list.[2] Her short musical Holo was a recipient of a 2020 National Alliance for Musical Theatre 15-Minute Musical Challenge award,[3] and she was among the winners of the Drama League's Light the Lights songwriting challenge.[4]
Early life and family
editJuber is the daughter of guitarist Laurence Juber, a former member of Wings, and is the granddaughter of television producer Sherwood Schwartz. Her sister is songwriter Ilsey Juber.[5]
Career
editMusical theatre
editJuber is the creator of Millennials Are Killing Musicals, a pop-rock musical comedy about motherhood, identity, social media, and the pressures of online performance.[6] The musical was presented in development through New York Theatre Barn's New Works Series and later received an Off-Broadway developmental production by Out of the Box Theatrics in 2023.[7]
In 2026, Millennials Are Killing Musicals received its world premiere at The Colony Theatre in Burbank, California.[8] The production was directed by Kristin Hanggi and featured Emma Hunton, Diana Huey, John Krause, Jennifer Leigh Warren, Michael Thomas Grant, and other cast members.[9][10] The musical was also discussed in Forbes in a feature about Broadway investment and commercial theatre development.[11]
Juber co-wrote the musical Winner with Joe Barros. The musical was developed through New York Theatre Barn and other developmental programs, and was later included in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts' New Works Project.[12]
Her short musical Holo was selected as one of the recipients of the 2020 National Alliance for Musical Theatre 15-Minute Musical Challenge.[13]

editIn 2023, Juber was named to the Broadway Women's Fund's Women to Watch on Broadway list.[14]
Juber won the Drama League's Light the Lights songwriting challenge for "Our Next Act", co-written with Selena Seballo.[15]
Her short musical Holo was a recipient of a 2020 National Alliance for Musical Theatre 15-Minute Musical Challenge award.[16]
