Nagapudi Chandrasekhara Aiyar (1888 - 1957)[1] was an Indian judge, served on the Madras High Court in the state of Tamil Nadu. He is the first judge to be appointed after the Constitution came into effect.[2]
He was the member Indo-Pakistan Boundary Dispute Tribunal and chairman Delimitation Commission, India 1953.[2]
Early life & education
editNagapudi Chandrasekhara Aiyar came from a family of Sanskrit scholars in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh. He has completed BA from Madras Christian College in 1907 and B.L. from Madras Law College in 1909.[3]
NC Aiyar has worked as the judge of Madras High Court from 16 July 1941 - 25 January 1948. He was appointed as the Judge of the Supreme Court of India on 23 September 1950.[4]
