Mian Muhammad Hanif is an industrialist and philanthropist from Pakistan. He is the founder of the Madina Group of Industries, which operates businesses in sugar, edible oil, ethanol, and steel sectors.[1] He also established the Madina Foundation to run social development projects. In recognition of his public services, the Government of Pakistan honored him with the Sitara-i-Imtiaz award in 2010.[2]
During his career, he served as the Chairman of the Pakistan Red Crescent Society in the Punjab branch from 2006 until 2018.[3] He has also been involved in the management and governance of The University of Faisalabad to support higher education.[4]
Through the Madina Foundation, he has funded several charity initiatives. This includes setting up the Madinah Teaching Hospital and Ali Fatima Teaching Hospital to give free healthcare services to the public. In 2020, a homeless shelter house built by his foundation was opened in Faisalabad.[5] He has also received the Business Excellence Award from the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Primaduta Award from the Indonesian government.[6]
