Maksaens Denis (Haiti) is a multimedia artist currently living and working in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. He studied in Paris and graduated in 1992 from the Superior School of Audiovisual Production with a thesis on Virtual Reality (VR). He returned to Haiti in 2002 and has been working there since.

Denis was the artistic director of AfricAmerica from 2013 until 2023.[1]

Denis is amongst others a Grand OVNI winner (2021),[2] a Leslie Lohman Fellow 20-21,[3] a Instituto Sacatar Residency Prize VideoBrasil winner (2023),[4] and a recipient of the first digital art commissions by Perez Art Museum, Miami, USA (2026).[5]
