Log College Middle School was built in 1966 and was opened in 1967 as a Junior High School serving only 7th and 8th-grade students. The school was named after an old school in Warminster, "Log College," established in 1727, specifically for theology, and was founded by William Tennent, one of the original founders and trustees of Princeton University. The school's mascot is the Colonial in honor of the heritage of the namesake. From 1991 to the present, Log College has been a Middle School serving 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students. In 2000, the school was recognized by the United States Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School.
Log College Middle School is one of two middle schools in the Centennial School District, along with Klinger Middle School.
Log College puts emphasis on high school, college, and career readiness. Their school year consists of four marking periods, from four 60-minute core periods, four 43-minute every-other-day expo (elective) courses, and a 30-minute “What I Need” or WIN period. Students study a common core of courses as well as many elective options, which allows them to tailor their program of studies to meet their individual interests and needs.
Log College has 14 interscholastic sports. 7th and 8th-grade students participate in PIAA sports.
Log College Middle School teaches students the motto of "Live Safely, Own Responsibility, and Give Respect."
Log College offers psychological counseling and has a media center that students can work with.
