Living Store SpA is a Chilean furniture company based in Quinta Normal, Santiago, Chile. It manufactures and sells sofas and other upholstered furniture.[1] The company states that its operations began in 2012 and that it sells nationally through its website and a showroom in Quinta Normal.[1]
History
editLiving Store was founded in Santiago in 2012 by Carlos Riquelme Figueroa, who was described in a 2019 interview as a partner and manager of the company.[2] The company began using e-commerce through its own website and later opened a showroom in 2014.[1] It also developed customised upholstered furniture for household and corporate clients.[1][2] A note published by Las Últimas Noticias and reproduced by Living Store in 2020 used the company as a source on sofa reupholstering.[3]

editProno Vigil mattress
editDuring the COVID-19 pandemic in Chile, Living Store became associated with Prono Vigil, an adapted mattress intended to help awake patients tolerate the prone position while receiving non-invasive oxygen support. The company's website states that it began making the mattress with health institutions in 2020–2021.[1] A 2020 municipal procurement record from Los Ángeles listed Living Store SpA as a supplier of Prono Vigil mattresses.[6] 24 Horas reported a campaign by staff at Sótero del Río Hospital to obtain 100 adapted mattresses for patients using the technique, and the University of the Andes, Chile reported a separate donation initiative in which more than 150 mattresses had been delivered to hospitals and clinics.[7][8]
Prone positioning has been studied as a treatment approach for patients with acute respiratory distress syndrome and for selected non-intubated patients with COVID-19. Trials, reviews and clinical guidance have described potential benefits in selected settings, including improved oxygenation and reduced treatment failure, while also noting limitations in the evidence and the need for clinical supervision.[9][10][11][12][13]
