Liberal Democratic Alliance (ALDM) was a political party in Malta, it was founded by Dr John Zammit on the 26th of November 2006 as a split from another Maltese 3rd party the Alpha Liberal Party which was founded by Zammit and Dr Emmy Bezzina.
The main reason for Zammit to leave the Alpha Liberal Party was due to a disagreement with Bezzina on the legalization of divorce ,and the decrease of the political power of the Catholic Church which the ALDM was strongly in favor of. Overall the party advocated for issues such as divorce, abortion, gay marriage and women's rights. The party never participated in any election and instead encouraged its supporters to vote for other liberal parties and against the Nationalist party.
