  • Comment: AI can't be used, see WP:NEWLLM. The main sources are about funding, which is regarded as WP:CORPTRIV, and databases from Bloomberg aren't good for notability either. The whole reception section is a great example of WP:AIATTR. Very, very few companies of this profile will meet the notability definitions used by Wikipedia. In January 2024, TechCrunch reported that Kittl raised US$36 million in a Series B round. This was led by IVP, with existing investors participating.[2] Axios also reported on the Series B and described the company as a Berlin-based Canva rival pursuing global growth.[4]

Product

edit

TechCrunch described Kittl as a browser-based graphic design tool that combines several features where users can create assets like logos, T-shirt designs, cards, social media posts and other designs.[2]

Kittl users can access a collection of copyright-free photos from the built-in illustration library along with free design templates that users can personalize with their own font choice and style.[2] Users can also contribute to the collection with new templates to be used by other users.[2]

Kittl also provides AI-based features like the AI background remover and a built-in AI image generator.[2]

In 2024, Creative Bloq reported that Monotype collaborated with Kittl to bring 135 Monotype fonts to the platform. These fonts include Avenir, Futura, and Helvetica.[5]

In a 2025 guide to product label design software, Shopify described Kittl as a web app for graphics and mockups. It noted features such as typography tools, text effects, templates, image editing, and AI-powered tools.

The same guide also noted limitations raised by users. These includes generic template outcomes, constraints on highly distinctive labels, support response times, and relatively expensive subscription tiers with a limited free option.[6]

Reception and use

edit

In a 2026 roundup of T-shirt design websites, Forbes Advisor listed Kittl as "Best for Advanced Customization." The article described Kittl as offering professional-grade design tools and vector support, while noting a steeper learning curve than some competing tools.[7]

A 2023 Business Insider profile of an Etsy seller reported that the seller used Kittl alongside Canva for creating digital designs. The Etsy seller preferred Kittl for licensing and export quality considerations.[8]

In 2025, GQ described Kittl as one of the AI-assisted design tools used in an experiment to build a streetwear brand from scratch, alongside ChatGPT and Midjourney.[9]
