editKarate Karrthi (born 6 December) is an Indian Actor, Martial Artist, and action specialist who primarily works in Tamil cinema, with appearances in Malayalam and Telugu films. He is known for his performances in Karuppu (2026), Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu (2026), Coolie (2025), Jailer (2023), Kooman (2022), Doctor (2021), Bigil (2019), Kaithi (2019), and Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru (2017).
Early Life and Training
editKarate Karrthi is a trained martial artist holding a 6th Dan Black Belt in Karate. He is a 13-time Karate National Champion and a gold medalist at the 2003 All India Police Boxing Championship.
He has trained in Karate, Boxing, Silambam, Gymnastics, Horse Riding, and Weapons Combat. He served in the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). In 2006, he trained at the Alchemy Acting School.
Career
editKarate Karrthi began his career in television, appearing in several Tamil serials such as Arasi, Chellamae, Anantham, Uthiripookal, Bandham, Azhagi, Mahabharatham, and Mundhanai Mudichu, where he played a variety of supporting and antagonist roles.
Following his transition to films, he shifted his focus primarily to cinema and stopped appearing in television dramas. He has since worked in Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu films, gaining recognition for action-oriented and antagonist roles.
