Life and career

edit

Wade was born on February 20, 1984, in Harris County, Texas.[1] He spent his childhood in Houston, before moving to California when he was in high school.[2] He played baseball during his early childhood before getting into acting, and being accepted into a high school for performing arts in Southern California during 9th grade.[3]

Wade's first acting role was in the 2000 horror film Drive In, where he played the role of Eddie.[4] His first television acting role was the American sitcom Arrested Development, in which he played the minor character of Steve Holt, who appeared in 10 episodes of its initial run on the Fox Network.[5][6] His audition for the role was for him to read only two words, a deliberate choice to see if Wade could find humor in limited range.[7] When the series was revived in 2013, Wade was not asked to return, and, in response, he began an online campaign pleading to come back. Along with a website, blog, marketable shirt, Facebook page, and Twitter account, Wade started an Ask Me Anything on Reddit, where he was asked various questions and provided answers.[8] He would officially make his return in the revival's 7th episode, "Colony Collapse".[9] Wade guest starred in 4 episodes of the television series Greek as the character of Steve.[5]
