Janla is a census town located in the Khordha district of the Indian state of Odisha. It is situated on the outskirts of the state capital, Bhubaneswar, and is part of the Bhubaneswar metropolitan area. The town lies along National Highway 16.
Geography
editJanla is located at coordinates 20°14′13″N 85°45′58″E / 20.237°N 85.766°E. It has an average elevation characteristic of the coastal plains of Odisha. The region experiences a tropical savanna climate, with distinct summer, monsoon, and winter seasons. It is situated roughly 15 kilometers from the center of Bhubaneswar.
Demographics
editAs of the 2011 Census of India, Janla had a total population of approximately 5,000 (placeholder data).[1] The population mixture includes a significant percentage of working professionals who commute to nearby industrial areas and Bhubaneswar city. Odia is the primary language spoken in the area.
