International Institute of Molecular Mechanisms and Machines, Polish Academy of Sciences (IMol):[1] – a research unit of the Polish Academy of Sciences with the status of an institute, located in Warsaw at 6 Flisa Street[2]. It conducts basic and applied research in biological, biochemical, biomedical, and biotechnology sciences.

It was established in December 2020[3] and began scientific activity in mid-2021[4]. It is the first newly established research institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences[3]. It was created based on the International Research Agenda of the FNP „ReMedy” (Regenerative Mechanisms for Health)[3][5]. The project was led by Prof. Agnieszka Chacińska and Prof. Magda Konarska[5][6].

The international partners of IMol include the University Medical Center Göttingen[3] and the Weizmann Institute of Science[7] in Israel. Nearly 50% of IMol’s scientific team consists of foreign researchers from around the world.[8].
