Hira Soomro (حرا سومرو) is a Pakistani television actress and model. She is known for appearing in Pakistani television serials including Chupke Chupke, Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3, Deewar-e-Shab and Tere Bin.^[1]^[2]

Early life

According to Dawn News Urdu, Soomro studied media and had an interest in acting and direction from childhood. The same source reported that her father is Sindhi and her mother is Urdu-speaking, and that she is the eldest of six sisters.^[1]

Career

Soomro began her career as a model before working in television. Dawn News Urdu reported that she started acting with the drama serial Maa Sadqay, and later gained recognition after appearing in Chupke Chupke and Khuda Aur Mohabbat 3.^[1]

She appeared as Sandal in Hum TV's historical drama Deewar-e-Shab.^[3] In 2023, she appeared as Maryam in Geo Entertainment's Tere Bin, produced by 7th Sky Entertainment.^[2] The series brought her wider public attention, and her role was discussed in entertainment interviews and media coverage.^[4]

In 2024, Hira Sommro appeared in Geo Entertainment's Tere Mere Sapnay as Isra.^[5] She was also part of the cast of Yahya, produced by 7th Sky Entertainment.^[6] In 2025, she appeared in Geo Entertainment's Humraaz and Green TV Entertainment's Do Kinaray.^[7]^[8]

Personal life

Hira Sommro is married and has two children. Dawn News Urdu reported that she was married before entering acting and had already become a mother before her acting career became widely known.^[1] In interviews, she has spoken about balancing acting work with family responsibilities.^[9]

Media appearances

Hira Sommro has appeared on television and digital interview programmes including Good Morning Pakistan, Hasna Mana Hai, FHM Podcast, Rising Pakistan, and Mazaq Raat.^[10]^[11]^[12]^[13]

In March 2025, Aaj English reported that PTV Home clarified a viral moment involving Soomro during a Ramazan transmission as a scripted performance intended for entertainment.^[14]
