Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) is a private medical college located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Established in 2015, the institute is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow, and is recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC).[1][2]

The institute offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD and MS) programmes and operates Heritage IMS Hospital as its teaching hospital.[1]

History

Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences (HIMS) was established in 2015 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, as a private medical college under the Heritage Hospitals Group. The institute was established to provide undergraduate and postgraduate medical education along with tertiary healthcare services through its attached teaching hospital.[1]

The institute is affiliated with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University, Lucknow, and its medical programmes are recognised by the National Medical Commission (NMC). [1][2]

Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) programme along with postgraduate Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Surgery (MS) programmes in various medical specialties. The institute admits students in accordance with regulations prescribed by the National Medical Commission and the affiliating university.[1][2]

Heritage IMS Hospital
