Comment: See also Draft:Gregory Butcher and Draft:GREGORY BUTCHER OBE, all created within the past few weeks. There is nothing in this draft (or either of the other two drafts) to suggest that he is notable, as Wikipedia defines notability. bonadea contributions talk 18:25, 20 April 2026 (UTC)
Comment: This needs to meet the WP:GOLDENRULE and therefore at least one more piece of significant coverage from an independent source. It is also a requirement to produce reliable sources, inline, for all facts that can be questioned, see WP:BLP. See WP:REFB to see how this is done. ChrysGalley (talk) 11:49, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

Gregory Miles Standish Butcher OBE is a British entrepreneur and property developer based in Gibraltar. He is the founder and chairman of the Fairhomes Group. In 2022, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to the economy and charitable work in Gibraltar.[1]
Career
editButcher's business career began in the United Kingdom, where he founded several ventures, including the skincare brand Montagne Jeunesse (now 7th Heaven) in 1987.[2]
Economic Impact in Gibraltar
editSince moving to Gibraltar in the early 2000s, Butcher has overseen several large-scale infrastructure projects through the Fairhomes Group.
Commercial and Maritime Projects
editButcher acquired and redeveloped the Ocean Village and Marina Bay areas. This project transitioned a traditional maritime site into a mixed-use district comprising residential units, commercial office space, and a 330-berth marina. The development was documented as a contributor to Gibraltar's capacity for international business residency.[3]
In 2017, Butcher completed the World Trade Center Gibraltar, a 15,793-square-metre (170,000 sq ft) office complex.[4] The project was officially opened by the Chief Minister of Gibraltar, Fabian Picardo, who cited its importance in providing infrastructure for the territory's financial services and e-gaming sectors.[5][6]
Urban Regeneration
editButcher has led several high-density residential developments, including Ocean Spa Plaza and "The Reserve". The latter was built on the site of the former Gibraltar Casino and was noted for its focus on ecological design and urban regeneration.[7]
Philanthropy
editIn 2021, Butcher funded a humanitarian mission to evacuate 92 people from Afghanistan following the Taliban takeover.[8] He also supports local charitable initiatives through the World Trade Center Gibraltar Social Committee.
