Gosala Rambabu is an Indian lyricist who works in Telugu cinema. Rambabu has written lyrics for numerous Telugu films, primarily romantic dramas and action movies since around 2007. His credits span over 100 films based on available filmography details.

Early life

Gosala Rambabu was born in 1983 and grew up in Velupucharla village (12km far from Eluru), which is in the Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. He studied Engineering at Eluru C.R.Reddy College before embarking on his writing journey. After finishing his studies, it took him two years to land his first movie opportunity. During this time, he trained in software skills in Hyderabad also he became a part of the legendary Veturi Sundararama Murthy's to enhance his songwriting career. while his close friend, Maganti Ramji, the son of the Eluru MP Maganti Babu garu, helped him secure his first movie offer from E.Satti Babu's film (Viyyala Vari Kayyalu 2007) under the Sridhar Lagadapati banner, featuring our beloved Uday Kiran. He wrote the lyrics for the his first song "Hey Handsome" from this film.

Career

Gosala Rambabu believed that Viyyala Vari Kayyalu would open doors for more movie opportunities, but unfortunately, he didn't receive any offers and faced a lot of struggles to find his next project. As a result, he decided to take a job to support his family. While working at ICICI Bank from 2010 to 2014, he got a call from his close friend, director Virinchi Varma, for the movie Uyyala Jumpala in 2013. He managed to complete the songs while juggling his job, and the songs from this movie became a massive hit, earning him a lot of praise. After that, he lost interest in his job and decided to resign.

Following Uyyala Jumpala, Rambabu was offered prestigious projects like Majnu in 2016, which was a huge success, and the songs received great acclaim. This led to an immediate offer for the movie Arjun Reddy in 2017, which also did well with songs like "Teliseney Na Nuvvey" and "Oopiri Aaguthunnadey." After these two major projects, he never looked back. Arjun Reddy, in particular, was a milestone and a turning point in his career. His parents were thrilled with his success, and he gained fame throughout his village.

Kousalya Kristamurthy in 2019 featured the song "Raakasi Gadusu Pilla,".. which received tremendous applause from the entire Telugu state and is still on the lips of many audiences.

At first, most audio listeners referred to Gosala Rambabu as a "romantic songs writer." Overall, he has created songs across various genres including love, romance, dance, pop, folk, hero elevation, rock, and melodies. Throughout his journey, he has also worked on albums, singles, TV shows, dubbed movie songs, and spiritual tracks. Here are some of the actors for whom he has written songs in their Telugu films - Pawan Kalyan, Kiran Abbavaram, Naga Shourya, Naga Chaitanya, Nani, Vijay Devarakonda, Sri Vishnu, Sai Dharam Tej, Jagapathi Babu, Varun Sandesh, and Ali, among others and many more from dubbed version movies.

Alongside, he contributed and worked into newage tollywood albums culture with Nuvve UndiPo Ila
