editGoodfellow was founded in 1946 by Stanley Goodfellow in London, initially repurposing bulk aluminium left over from wartime manufacturing. The company moved to Cambridge in 1975 before moving to its current location, Huntingdon, in 1999. It was incorporated as Goodfellow Cambridge Ltd. in October 1974.
In September 2021, the company was acquired by technology-focused investment firm Battery Ventures, which has since supported a series of acquisitions and a digital transformation initiative.
