Gold Rush Pictures was founded in 2021 by Vladimir Zemtsov.[6]

In 2024, the company entered into a three-project development slate with X Filme Creative Pool, working with filmmaker Tom Tykwer.[7]

In 2026, the company expanded its European operations by opening a German office led by filmmaker Feo Aladag.[8]

Gold Rush Pictures has also supported industry development initiatives. In 2026 the company partnered with Berlinale Talents to support the Berlinale Talents Lab Awards, providing development grants to emerging filmmakers.[9]

Glenrothan (2024)

Glenrothan began production in 2024 in Scotland.[11] The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and is scheduled for release in the United Kingdom in April 2026. It stars Alan Cumming and Brian Cox (actor).[12]

The Idiots (2025)
