The Georgian Medical Journal (GMJ; Georgian: საქართველოს სამედიცინო ჟურნალი) is an open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal covering medicine and public health. It is published by the Public Health Institute of Georgia (PHIG) and is based in Tbilisi, Georgia.[1]
History

From its launch through 8 April 2026, the journal registered DOIs via Zenodo (CERN/OpenAIRE) through DataCite. On 9 April 2026, GMJ became a full member of Crossref, the international DOI registration agency for scholarly publishing, under DOI prefix 10.66636.[3]
In May 2026, the journal was added to the ETH Zurich Library catalogue and the swisscovery national library network of Switzerland, making its content accessible to researchers across 475 Swiss academic institutions.[4]
