FranConnect is an American software company based in Herndon, Virginia, that develops franchise and multi-location business management software. The company provides a cloud-based platform used by franchisors for franchise sales and development, operations, royalty and financial management, training, and marketing.[1]
History
editSources differ on FranConnect's founding date. Several company and data-aggregator sources state the company was founded in 2000 by Amit Pamecha.[2] However, in a 2012 interview, Pamecha told the trade site Franchise Chatter that he started the company in 2003.[3]
In late 2014, FranConnect acquired Process Peak and received a growth investment from private equity firm Serent Capital, its first investment in a software company.[4][5] Christopher Fountain became chief executive officer in March 2015.[6] Gabby Wong joined the company in 2016 as executive vice president of global operations and was promoted to CEO in 2018.[7] In late 2025, Wong began a planned transition off the CEO role and onto FranConnect's board while the company searched for a successor.[8]
FranConnect has made several acquisitions to expand its software suite: FranchiseBlast, a Quebec-based field-audit software provider, in January 2021;[9] World Manager, a learning-management platform, in October 2022;[10] and RizePoint, a quality-management and mobile-auditing software provider based in Salt Lake City, in February 2024.[11]
Products and services
editFranConnect's platform includes modules for franchise development and lead management, unit operations, royalty processing, quality management, and employee training.[1] In August 2025, the company launched FranConnect GO, a pre-configured version of its platform aimed at emerging franchise brands.[12] FranConnect executives, including Keith Gerson, have been quoted as industry sources in trade publications such as QSR Magazine on franchise operations and training topics.[13]
Recognition
editFranConnect was named to DCA Live's 2023 "Red Hot Companies" list, a regional recognition of fast-growing Washington, D.C.-area companies.[14]
