Comment: One or two more independent news citations from a publication other than the Belfast Telegraph would likely help your notability case. Unfortunately, a casual search didn't find anything I could use alone to bolster the page. Sammi Brie (she/her · t · c) 22:50, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

Energy 106 is an independent dance music radio station based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The station broadcasts a non-stop mix of dance, electronic, and classic club music on DAB digital radio and via online streaming platforms.[1]
History
editEnergy 106 originally operated as an FM radio station in Northern Ireland during the 1990s and became well known for its dance music format. After a prolonged absence from licensed broadcasting, the station later returned to the airwaves as a legally licensed independent service.[2]
Licensing and broadcast
editIn 2024, Energy 106 was awarded a broadcasting licence by the UK regulator Ofcom, allowing the station to operate on DAB+ digital radio in Northern Ireland.[3] The station broadcasts on DAB digital radio across Belfast and surrounding areas and is also available worldwide through online streaming and mobile applications.[4]
