Ellie Mairead Mejia (born 5 June 2000) is a British actress. She is known for her roles in The Sandman, Domino Day: Lone Witch, and the Irish short film No Time Wasters. Her work spans television, film, and voice-over productions.
Early life and education
editMejia was born in central London and grew up in Manchester. She trained in acting at Rose Bruford College, a UK drama school.[1]

editIn 2023, Mejia portrayed Liv in the BBC series Domino Day: Lone Witch (2024), appearing in two episodes.[2]
She later gained recognition for her performance in the Netflix series The Sandman, playing Jackie in the finale episode "Death: The High Cost of Living". Mejia, as Jackie, helps a dejected Sexton, played by Colin Morgan, overcome his distaste with the world, the A.V. Club summarising, "Amazingly, his dour, self-pitying personality manages to impress a young woman named Jackie (Ellie Mejia)."[3]
Film
editIn 2025, Mejia starred in the short film No Time Wasters opposite Peter Coonan, directed by Tara O’Callaghan. The film premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival and explores sex-for-rent exploitation in Ireland. She played Marianne, a young woman facing homelessness and moral dilemmas.
Film in Dublin wrote: "Featuring performances from rising talent Ellie Mejia... No Time Wasters looks at a character... as Ellie Mejia’s Marianne is pulled into a world where the lines between kindness and exploitation dangerously blur."[4]
Women in Film & Television Ireland (WFT) also praised her work, noting: "It showcases incredible performances from rising talent Ellie Mejia and some of Ireland’s finest..."[5]
Voice Work
