Edvard Kornelyous Strengvey-Akermaner[a] (c. 2004 −), known as the Akermaner Ba'al Ov (Yiddish: בעל־אוב אקרמאנער) or ABeOv (א״ב־אוב) is a Baal Shem (a baal shem is a "Master of the Good Name"—that is, one able to work miracles using a secret names of God, permitted to speak the Tetragrammaton aloud, and use Practical Kabbalah) Ma'aminim and radical BeShTiyim Hasidic Jewish mystic and is the current Baal Shem (similar to a Rebbe) of Biet Akermaner, a Ma'aminim Zoharim Jewish movement, and Yeshivot Ohr HaNistar, a Ma'aminim, Zoharim, BeShTiyim, and heterodox Yeshiva.
A central tenet of the teachings associated with the Akermaner Ba'al Ov is an antinomian view of devekut, a direct connection with the divine, referred to within Akermaner circles as the Shekhinah which is infused in every Jewish activity and every waking hour. Prayer is of supreme importance, along with the mystical significance of Hebrew letters and words, a Gnostic approach to Tikkun Olam, stating that the ultimate reason the Kabbalah was revealed to the souls at Mt. Sinai is the complete reunification with Ohr Ein Sof (considered the Holiest name of God), and the conversion of all gentiles to Noahidism by establishing Noahide Churches (Called Assemblies of Noah) which borrow heavily from Reform Judaism, Catholicism and Lutheranism while completely rejecting Jesus Christ and accepting a Deist-Panenthiest view of God, claiming in relation to gentiles God simply requests the upholding of the Noahide Covenant, while Jewish soul, or Nafesh Elokit is rather similar to that of the Atman.
