Dispatch (operating as DispatchIt, Inc.) is an American delivery logistics technology company headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota. Founded in 2016, the company provides delivery orchestration software and a network of independent contractor drivers for last-mile logistics, primarily serving industrial distributors, wholesalers, and retailers across the United States.

History

edit

Dispatch was founded in 2016 by Andrew Leone and Ryan Hanson in Bloomington, Minnesota.[1] Leone, who had previously operated an HVAC distribution business, identified that skilled tradespeople frequently spent significant time on parts runs rather than on billable work. He developed a technology platform to manage deliveries and give contractors real-time visibility into order status, which became the basis for Dispatch.[2]

Funding

edit

Early investors in Dispatch included Revolution's Rise of the Rest Seed Fund and Great North Labs. In March 2022, Dispatch closed a $50 million Series C round led by PeakSpan Capital, with participation from Trinity Private Equity Group.[3][4] The company said the funds would support geographic expansion and growth of its engineering and product teams.[5]

Products

edit

Dispatch operates a platform called DispatchOne, which integrates delivery orchestration software with the company's driver network. The platform includes customizable modules for on-demand delivery, hotshot delivery, fleet management, API integrations, and analytics. DispatchOne is designed to connect with enterprise systems including ERP, TMS, and CRM platforms.[6]

The company operates in more than 80 markets across the United States and maintains a network of more than 40,000 independent contractor drivers. The company reports serving more than 50,000 businesses.[7]

Recognition

edit

Dispatch has appeared on the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for four consecutive years, including in 2025, when the company ranked 4,587th with a reported three-year revenue growth rate of 68 percent.[8]

In 2026, Dispatch was recognized as a Gartner Digital Markets Leader in the Fleet Management category, a designation based on verified customer reviews across Gartner Digital Markets properties including Capterra.[9]
