Dashamakan is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film written, directed and produced by Vineeth Varaprasad.[1] The film stars Harish Kalyan in the lead role, alongside Preity Mukhundhan, Sathyaraj, and Sunil. The music is composed by Britto Michael.[2] The film is being produced as a bilingual project in Tamil and Telugu. [3]

Premise

Set in North Chennai, the film follows a struggling lower-middle-class rapper navigating the hidden subculture of the city. The film is described as a musical-oriented action thriller highlighting lesser-seen areas of Chennai.

The film marks the 15th project of Harish Kalyan as a lead actor. Principal photography began in 2025.In February 2026, the "Title Unlocked" promotional video was released, featuring a background score by Britto Michael and presenting the tone of the film.[4]

Release

The film is scheduled for theatrical release in 2026. An official release date has not yet been announced.
