Conduit (legally Conduit Technology Inc.) is a financial technology company focused on cross-border payment infrastructure for business-to-business (B2B) transactions involving fiat currencies and stablecoins, such as USDC and USDT. The company has been covered by international financial and technology publications in the context of the recent use of stablecoin-based settlement for cross-border transactions, particularly in regions characterized by complex payment corridors, including Latin America, Asia, and Africa.[1][2][3][4][5]
History
editFounded in 2021 and headquartered in Kalispell, Montana, United States, by Kirill Gertman, Mark Graves, and Andre Masse,[6] Conduit was established to develop application programming interfaces (APIs) that integrate local payment rails with blockchain-based settlement layers.
Conduit’s services include international payments, multi-currency accounts, and over-the-counter (OTC) trading capabilities for institutional clients.[7]
By 2024, Conduit had expanded its operations to regions including Mexico, Brazil, Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya.[8][9]
Funding
editIn January 2022, Conduit raised US$17 million in a funding round led by Portage Ventures, with participation from other institutional investors.[10]
In August 2024, the company raised an additional US$6 million in a seed extension round led by Helios Digital Ventures, supporting its expansion into Africa.[11]
In May 2025, Conduit closed a US$36 million Series A round co-led by Dragonfly Capital and Altos Ventures.[12][13]
