Collins Archie-Pearce (born September 1965) is a Sierra Leonean-British film producer, director, actor, and screenwriter. He is known for his work in Sierra Leonean cinema, Nollywood, and UK-based African film productions, as well as for promoting African storytelling within the global film industry.[1][2]
Early life and education
editCollins Archie-Pearce was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, and was raised by his mother following the early death of his father. He relocated to the United Kingdom in 1991. He later studied Business Management at Croydon College, graduating in 2008. He also undertook film and performance training through programs associated with the British Film Institute (BFI).[3]
Career
editCollins Archie-Pearce began acting in the late 1990s and has appeared in more than 60 African and Nollywood films, distributed across the United Kingdom, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and other international markets. His roles span drama, crime, romance, and socially themed films.
His notable productions include Ibu in Sierra Leone, The British Expert, Devil in Freetown, I can’t get you off my mind, Ibu in Sierra Leone, Flight 442, Banjul My Love, Unpredictable Enemies and Transform. Several of his films have screened internationally and have been shown on airline entertainment platforms. He has been awarded Best Supporting Actor by BEFFTA Awards.[4][5]
