Circle the Sun is the eighth studio album by British rock band Atomic Rooster.
This is the first album recorded by the reborn British band, their first studio album since 1983 and the first without long-time leader Vincent Crane, who committed suicide in 1989.
Guitarist Steve Bolton continues to carry on the group's moniker, which has served as a connecting link with previous incarnations of the band. Bolton's moniker has only played a small but significant role in the band's history, primarily during the 1971 North American Tour, which followed the release of the album "In Hearing of Atomic Rooster" (recorded with John Cann on guitar) and the 1972 album "Made in England."
The album, released in October 2025, greatly surprised fans of the band, who had not believed the release of a new studio album was possible, given that singer Pete French (who appeared only on "In Hearing of Atomic Rooster") had recently departed. Preceded the year before by an EP with two new tracks from the album ('No More' and 'Rebel Devil') and four songs recorded live ('VUG', 'Blacksnake, 'A Spoonful Of Bromide' and 'Decision/Indecision'), the album features co-writing by Bolton himself and keyboardist and singer Adrian Gautrey.
