Chris Kendall (born Christopher James Kendall, 18 July 1986) is a British actor, voice-over artist, and media professional based in Morpeth, Northumberland. He has worked in radio broadcasting, commercial voice-over, and community media, and has contributed to youth-led broadcasting initiatives in North East England.[1]
Early life and education
editKendall was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and grew up in Whitley Bay, North Tyneside.[1] During his childhood, he engaged in informal audio production and broadcasting activities, producing recorded material and experimenting with broadcasting technology.[1]
In 2002–2003, he attended Gateshead College, completing a Bachelors of Technology Diploma in Music Technology, including live sound production, sequencing, and DJ performance.[1]
Radio broadcasting

In 2003, he participated in the establishment of "Hitmix 49", a 30-day Restricted Service Licence (RSL) FM radio station operated by young people in Whitley Bay. The project was funded through a Prince’s Trust Millennium Award.[2]
The station received coverage from regional media, including the Chronicle, which documented its operation during the licence period.[2]
Following this project, Kendall assisted with other local radio stations and gained experience in media production and radio engineering.[1]
Voice-over and acting
editFrom 2008, Kendall undertook professional voice-over work, including advertising, broadcast content, corporate narration, and other recorded media.[1]
Media coverage indicates he has provided voice-over work for organisations including Google, Amazon, BBC, NHS, Dulux, Dr Pepper, Sky, and BMW.[1][3]
He has also undertaken acting roles associated with live performance and recorded media.[1]
Voice Artists United
editBetween 2009 and 2015, Kendall founded and administered Voice Artists United (VAU), an online community for voice-over practitioners. The group provided discussion forums and informal peer-support for voice-over practice, recording techniques, and industry-related topics.[1]
