editChina Jade opened in the early 2000s in a strip mall along Crabbs Branch Way near Shady Grove, in the northern part of the Rockville area of Montgomery County, Maryland.[1] The restaurant has operated continuously for over 20 years at the same location. Its menu draws on family recipes from Sichuan province in China, developed over multiple generations.[1]
Cuisine and menu
editThe restaurant's menu features over 100 dishes spanning Szechuan and Cantonese cooking traditions. Signature dishes include Mapo tofu, Kung Pao chicken, Dan dan noodles, Peking duck, and Hot and Sour Soup. The menu also includes Szechuan appetizers such as Chengdu steamed dumplings and wontons in spicy sauce, as well as a selection of seafood dishes.[1]
China Jade offers weekday lunch specials served Monday through Friday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, which include an entrée with a vegetable spring roll and fried rice.[1]
