Charitha Udayakumari Willigoda Liyanage is a Sri Lankan academic, translator, and a senior lecturer in French at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Her doctoral research is titled Le féminisme et l’antiféminisme dans les nouvelles françaises de Guy de Maupassant et les nouvelles sri lankaises de Martin Wickramasinghe, examining feminist and anti-feminist representations in French and Sri Lankan short fiction.

Liyanage serves as a Senior Lecturer in French in the Department of Languages, Cultural Studies & Performing Arts at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. She teaches French language, literature, culture, and translation studies.
