Béatrice D. Leca-Bouvier is a French biochemist and academic. She is an associate professor (maître de conférences) at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 and a researcher at the Institute of Molecular and Supramolecular Chemistry and Biochemistry (ICBMS), where her work focuses on the development of electrochemical and optical biosensors.[1]
Education and career
editLeca-Bouvier completed her doctoral thesis in biochemistry in 1995 at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 under the supervision of Pierre Coulet, focusing on electrochemical biosensors using enzymatic polymeric films.[2]
From 1995 to 1998, she worked as a temporary assistant professor at the University of Perpignan Via Domitia alongside Jean-Louis Marty, developing screen-printed electrodes for environmental and agricultural detection. In September 1999, she joined the faculty at Lyon 1 as an associate professor, collaborating extensively with the research groups at the Génie Enzymatique, Membranes Biomimétiques et Assemblages Supramoléculaires (GEMBAS) unit.[3]
Research
editLeca-Bouvier's research interests lie at the intersection of biotechnology, materials science, and analytical chemistry. Her primary work involves:
