Early life and education
editLloyd was born in Demopolis, Alabama, and spent part of his childhood in Butler, Alabama before relocating to Birmingham, Alabama at the age of five. He attended schools in the Pinson area before transferring to the Oak Mountain school system.
At Oak Mountain High School, Lloyd competed in football as a defensive tackle and in wrestling at the 285lb division. He was a two-time state placer in wrestling and was ranked among the top wrestlers in Alabama.[2]
In football, Lloyd was named first-team All-Shelby County and first-team All-Over the Mountain as a senior.[3][4] During his senior season, he recorded 57 total tackles, 2.5 sacks, and an interception.[5]
Lloyd received a full athletic scholarship to Samford University to play football.[6][7]
Lloyd attended Samford University, where he majored in journalism and mass communication with a minor in Spanish.[8] He later earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Samford University.[9]
During his time at Samford, Lloyd was named the recipient of the Mr. Bulldog award at the 2022 SAMSPY Awards.[10]
