Amit Nath Tiwari[1] became actively involved in Bihar politics in the early 2000s. On 11 September 2000, he was appointed as one of the General Secretaries of the Bihar unit of the Nationalist Youth Congress, the youth wing of the Nationalist Congress Party. The appointment was made under the leadership of state president Professor Suraj Yadav as part of the party’s organizational expansion in Bihar.
