American singer and songwriter Addison Rae has released one studio album, one extended play, six singles, one promotional single and seven music videos. She rose to prominance as a social media personality through TikTok in 2019, and went on to become one of the platform's most-followed creators. Rae would eventually broaden her career into music by releasing her debut song, "Obsessed" (2019), which appeared at number ten for the US Bubbling Under Hot 100 by Billboard. It was intended to be the lead single for her then-upcoming project, but was temporarily shelved and considered giving up on music entirely after seeing her song's reception.[1] Multiple songs and demos were leaked online in 2022 receiving positive traction from which Rae gained her confidence and quickly built a cult following.[2] Ultimately, she released her first extended play titled AR, through Sandlot Records on August 18, 2023. It debuted at number 19 on the Heatseekers Albums chart for the United States.

Subsequently, she was signed by Columbia Records and made her first major label single with "Diet Pepsi" in 2024, peaking at number 54 on the US Billboard Hot 100 becoming Rae's first entry. Remaining as her highest-charting song in that country, it was later certified as platinum through multiple trade organizations, such as the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), Recorded Music NZ and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Continuing her critical success in music, she went on to release "Aquamarine" and "High Fashion" where they both appeared in the top 15 for the US Hot Dance/Pop Songs. The next year, Rae again made an appearance on the Hot 100 chart with "Headphones On" and "Fame Is a Gun", the latter being platinum-certified by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) and Music Canada (MC). These preceded singles were then placed to her debut studio album Addison, released on June 6, 2025, finding widespread success by critics.[3] It debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart and sold 48,500 album-equivalent units in its first week, consisting of 23,000 pure album sales and 25,500 streaming equivalent album units from 33 million streams.[4]
