Addison "Addie" Bowley Beckerman (born: July 5, 2004)[1] is an American upcoming correspondent and YouTuber who uploads a variety of videos and shorts, primarily about fast food. They usually revolve around him consuming a brand of fast food, whether it be versing Starbucks and Dunkin' or testing to see if a fast food chain tastes better at breakfast or dinner time. He also owns a second channel named Addie Bowley Vlogs which he used as his original channel, where he posted various vlogs of himself. He is an upcoming correspondent of PBS News.
About
editBowley posts a variety of different videos, both on his YouTube channel and on his TikTok. However, his videos primarily center around fast food, whether it be comparing one star and five star restaurants, or disproving negative reviews on Yelp. He occasionally posts other videos as well, such as him testing his sense of time or him testing if he can solve different puzzles.[2] Addison primarily uploads Shorts, but occasionally he uploads long-form videos in addition. He also uploads his YouTube Shorts on his TikTok.
History
editInterestingly, Addison first started out not on his main channel, but on the Addie Bowley Vlogs channel. Created on May 29, 2019, Addison planned to use the channel to upload vlogs of his adventures, hence the name. On July 19, 2019, Addison uploaded his first video, where he attempts to turn a penny into $1,000. That video only has over 1,000 views, and used a stock intro. The next video features him capturing footage of his drone, flying over his Beach House in Saco, Maine. Addison continued to make videos on the beach house until his seventh video, where he uploaded the second part to his first video.
Addison continued to post random videos on the vlog channel until November 7, 2019, where he decided to branch out and start a second channel, Addie Bowley, which would later become his main channel. Eventually, Addison favored his main channel and abandoned his vlogs channel, with the vlogs channel becoming inactive.
Career
editSeries
editAddison has created a variety of series on his YouTube channel. The most popular series on the channel are (in no particular order):
- One Star vs Five Star: Addie reviews a one-star fast food restaurant, and then goes and reviews a five-star restaurant of the same fast food chain. Addie considers multiple factors when comparing the two, such as the price, the appearance of the restaurants, and their cleanliness. The highest score he's even given was a 4.7, while the lowest is a 1.2.[3])
- Starbucks vs Dunkin': Addie reviews two rivaling coffee chains, Starbucks and Dunkin'. However, he decides the winner based on which one creates the most sweet, the least popular, and the saltiest drink, among others. In one of the episodes, one of the Dunkin' employees recognises Addie.[4] After making 12 Shorts on the series, he then made a final episode, which he reviewed the original locations, gave them 4 separate ratings, and named the winner "The Ultimate Coast to Roast."
- Fast vs Fancy: Addie reviews two different places that sell the same food item, one being a "Fast" location, which is usually a fast food place, and the other being a "Fancy" location which is usually a luxurious restaurant.
- Can I survive on ___?: Addie challenges himself where he can only buy breakfast, lunch, and dinner at a specific location or fast food chain.
- I Tested...: Addie tests different products on camera, such as discontinued foods or outdated toys. After testing the item, Addie provides his personal opinion on that item.
