The Levelling-up and Regeneration Act 2023 further amended the time-limit provisions in section 5A and inserted sections 8A and 8B, enabling an acquiring authority and the owner of an interest to agree in writing to postpone or advance the vesting date. The Planning and Infrastructure Act 2025 inserted sections 4A and 4B, providing an expedited vesting procedure for unoccupied or derelict land.
