In Greek mythology, Celusa or Kelousa (Ancient Greek: Κηλοῦσαν or Κηλούσης Kelousê from kêloô ‘to have an abnormal delivery’) is the personification of Mount Celusa[1] or Celossa[2] in Phliasia; thus, by consequence, she is an mountain being of mystical nature—likely a goddess (akin to the Ourea) or a nymph (akin to the Oread).
Through the union with Poseidon, she gave birth to the river-god Asopus.[3] Otherwise, Celusa might be the same with Pero, the so called mother of the river-deity by the marine god.[4]
