editThe championship game matched the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats against the Grand Valley State Lakers. The Bearcats jumped out to an early lead, going up 21-0 by halftime. The Lakers recovered, getting within three points (23-20) early in the fourth quarter. However, the Bearcats stayed ahead and won the game by the final score of 30-23.[2] The win completed NW Missouri St's third Division II football title.[1]
