- ... that Tatiana Saunders is now goalie for an English soccer team, whose policy is equal pay, after playing for U.S., Icelandic and French teams? Source: equal pay is sourced here - her clubs are reffed in the article

- Proposing two alternative hooks – so many directions this could go:
- ALT 1: ... that Lewes FC goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders worked on Wall Street after playing for the England U19s, Dartmouth, and the New York Athletic Club?
- ALT 2: ... that Lewes FC goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders kept 16 clean sheets and gave up only 5 goals in 23 games as a high school senior playing varsity soccer in Rye, New York? Cielquiparle (talk) 12:35, 19 January 2022 (UTC)

Overall:
Overall, this article looks good. The cropped photo is not used in the article, however, nor is the mention of equal pay made in the main hook actually in the article. My preference for hook is ALT1, though, and if this article is run without a photo on DYK, then that point is moot. In that case, I'd be happy to pass this nomination as good to go. - @Michael Barera: Thanks for the review Mike. I have restored the main hook fact and the picture which got changed as the article was improved but forgetting the dyk nomination. Hope you are OK with it now. Victuallers (talk) 23:57, 28 January 2022 (UTC)
Both the photo and the hook citation issues have been resolved. I am now happy to pass this nomination as good to go. My preference is the main hook. Nice work! Michael Barera (talk) 17:19, 29 January 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks and well done to you both for getting this over the line. I just wanted to request to have the following link in the original hook goalie replaced by goalie when this is published on DYK. Goalkeeper_(association_football) is the correct page for soccer goalkeepers. Cielquiparle (talk) 17:14, 30 January 2022 (UTC)
- Done - be bold! This would be good for IWDay/month Victuallers (talk) 22:27, 30 January 2022 (UTC)

References
editThere were several issues with references which appear to have been fixed now. Apparently there was some inaccurate personal information from some of the blogs. There was also some information from the Dartmouth Athletics web page which has since been removed at the source. (Smart.) In addition, there was a software bug that caused some of the references (specifically the Dartmouth player stats page) to get overwritten on the Wikipedia page, but hopefully this has also been fixed. DYK scheduling
edit@Cielquiparle: I think your para above has confused. Can you confirm that you were recording that lots of things have been fixed (as we would expect) and things are "fixed now"? @Michael Barera: could you reconfirm your tick please. Victuallers (talk) 11:53, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: - I checked and per your instructions this DYK is approved and scheduled for International Women's Day 8th March! Cielquiparle (talk) 13:07, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you!!! Victuallers (talk) 14:54, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
Overall: I am a student looking to expand start/stub phase articles for my intro writing class at university, this article seems to fit the description of what I have been looking for. I think that the main visual difference between Tatiana's page and other soccer players, including some that are on her own team, is the lack of a large visual table that includes her games played for each team across her career and her stats for each year with those teams. I think this would be a great way to visualize her playing career and acknowledge her playing achievements. Overall the article looks really good and provides useful information on her background and aspirations away from the pitch. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HoyaSaxa25 (talk • contribs) 14:13, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
Nationality?
editIt is unclear to me whether Saunders is English, American or from somewhere else. At present the lead says Saunders... is an English football goalkeeper who...
Does this mean she has English nationality, or simply plays for an English football team? The biographical information suggests she was US born and raised, so some clarification on this would help, I feel. Nick Moyes (talk) 09:56, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
I don't know. I have got the impression that she was born in America to UK parents and that is why she could play for England, but I do not have a source for this. Victuallers (talk) 02:10, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
