COI declaration
editI am a friend of the subject of this article. Earlier tonight I removed her non-notable WP:CHILD's name from the article to protect their privacy. According to WP:COIEDIT, I should be strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but I acted impulsively because, well, a child's safety is potentially involved. I hope you understand. I would also like to make future edits but I want to follow all the WP:COI rules to the letter. I will use the Edit_COI template from now on. See below. I hope this works.
| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- Specific text to be added or removed: "is a lesbian"
- Reason for the change: Per WP:BLPCAT
sexual orientation should not be used unless the subject has publicly self-identified with the belief (or lack of such) or orientation in question
. Her marriage is public knowledge. Without an appropriate source, can't we just let it be intuited by a link to her wife? - References supporting change: I googled it and the only reference to this outside of WP:USERG is a non-notable tabloid-esque blog called Mombian, and it's more about her wife than it is about Staniford. She doesn't publicly self-identify in that source.

- Specific text to be added or removed: remove "Official Website" from External links section. Remove "She also has her own website" from body of article.
- Reason for the change: the link is dead and comes from a marketing group website called the "Essentially Group." Also, she told me today that she never heard of it. It is not her website. Even if it was, it's a dead link now.
